Angelo was on board from the beginning of planning where the three structures were going to sit on the property, taking into consideration of best building sites, and the views. He listened carefully to our wants and needs, and offered up wonderful ideas and solutions to any problems that arose. He understands code and county rules in Santa Barbara County well, and has a relationship with the building department. He often went to the building office with me, and on his own, expediting the project. He answers phone calls and emails always!!! We did three separate projects including our 4200 sq. ft. home on our parcel. Each time, we always felt he was very committed, professional, and had outstanding ideas. “Angelo was great to work with, he took time to understand our initial vision for a difficult project that required adding a modern major addition to a mid-century Florida home. We started the project with layouts based on my background as an engineer tempered by my wife’s more creative eye; and Angelo was patient. He created several or perhaps many designs with elevation layouts in scale, each providing artistic and modern design elements that we never imagined- guess that’s what separates an architect from an engineer.
Angelo worked with us through the permitting and structural detail calculations providing guidance on where to invest additional money to make the house feel solid and where we could minimize spending. I can’t tell you how often I have thought of Angelo and his advice as I walk across our solid second story floor that has supporting beams with a 24 foot span.
We are so very happy with the final design that blends the old circa 1940 house with the new modern home so seamlessly that we have to convince guests that there are two completely different builds in the home.”
